ABS has advanced the traditional F-splice technology with a patented design offering a higher level of electrical and mechanical features. The advanced features provide increased return loss beyond 3 GHz, more than twice the pin contact area and increased holding force for higher current handling and greater reliability.
This is a new design, available only for limited use in networks intending to improve MoCA security by enhancing the isolation of the POE filter to 70 dB. The higher isolation ideally attenuates MoCA signals, which can egress out of a customer’s home, to below the noise floor, assuming this filter is installed within the customer’s premises.
The POE70-BB1SP-C integrates a MoCA POE filter and surge protected bonding block into a unique cylindrical housing. This provides high insertion loss at the MoCA frequencies to isolate the MoCA home network from the CATV plant while providing protection for subscriber terminal equipment from high voltage transient conditions.
